Au Pair/Facilitator Placement Fee Structure

2019 Rates

6 + Months Appointment:  12% of annual salary confirmed

  • FEE PAYABLE ON PRESENTATION OF INVOICE AND PRIOR TO CANDIDATE’S COMMENCEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT
  • PAYMENT NOT RECEIVED PRIOR TO CONFIRMED START DATE WILL RESULT IN DELAY OF CANDIDATE’S COMMENCEMENT OF DUTIES WITH THE FAMILY
  • PLACEMENT FEE IS CALCULATED ON NUMBER OF MONTHS CONFIRMED. 
  • INDETERMINATE PERIODS IN EXCESS OF 6 MONTHS WILL BE CHARGED AT FULL ANNUAL SALARY RATE.
  • 90-Day guarantee applicable to all permanent placements
  • At present Mother’s Load Au Pairs does not charge 15% VAT.
  • Families wishing to appoint a candidate on a trial basis to evaluate their suitability will be permitted to do so. In this instance our Short-Term Assignment terms and rates will apply and will be offset against a permanent invoice in the event the candidate is kept on beyond the agreed date.
  • All trial-based appointments will be billed up front with settlement of payment due prior to candidate commencing duties with the family
  • Maximum 2 weeks trial period permitted per candidate per family.
  • Minimum placement fee of R3000 is charged

GUARANTEE TERMS & CONDITIONS:

  • 90 Days guarantee from confirmed start date of placement

  • Reasons for unsuccessful placement considered to be:
        - candidate reneging on employment
        - candidate resigning within 90 days from confirmed start date of employment
        - candidate being unable to commence/continue employment within 90 days of confirmed start date due to force majuere.
        - candidate's dismissal within 90 days from confirmed start date
   
Candidates to be replaced at no additional charge provided the client did NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES to the following:
  • Salary
  • Petrol reimbursement
  • Days that the candidate is required to work
  • Times that the candidate is required to work
  • the Client did not abuse the candidate
  • the Client did not require the candidate to work overtime in excess of original agreement
  • the Client could no longer afford the candidate

OUR GUARANTEE EXPRESSLY AND SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDES THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
  • Retrenchment
  • Unfair dismissal
  • Illness and/or death

REFUNDS:
No fees paid will be refunded as time and cost to Mother's Load will have been incurred in your family's placement.  This applies to:

  • a replacement candidate not being found through Mother's Load.
  • a family no longer wishing to hire a candidate, irrespective of the reason/s.
  • the family finds another candidate through private referrals or through the services of another agency.  In this instance, our guarantee will be regarded as having been completely relinquished.
  • should Mother's Load not be given the opportunity to find a suitable replacement candidate for your family, this guarantee will be regarded as having been completely relinquished.





1Week - 3 Months:  25% of total salary / hourly rate over confirmed period


3+ Months - 6 Months:  20% of total salary / hourly rate over confirmed period

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

  • 1 Week - 3 Months:  1 week guarantee applicable
  • 3+ - 6 Months:  4 weeks guarantee applicable
  • Guarantee conditions as per permanent appointments with relevant period guarantees applicable
  • Family to pay Au Pair / Facilitator direct on presentation of timesheet
  • MLAP will invoice family once-off based on total hours agreed at relevant percentage
  • A minimum charge of R2000 is applicable
  • Payment due on presentation of invoice.
  • No candidate will be permitted to commence an assignment until payment has been received.
  • Temporary au pair / facilitator assignments will, regrettably, be cancelled with immediate effect in the event of non-payment by family
  • Failure by the family to pay the au pair / facilitator as per placement agreement will negate the temporary assignment and no refund whatsoever will be considered
  • At present Mother’s Load Au Pairs does not charge 15% VAT.
  • Mother’s Load Au Pairs placement fee is based on basic salary/hourly rate and no additional benefits and/or costs are included in the fee calculation.
